Bryan Mobley The build up on The Final Spell is so hopeful and regal sounding to me and then the vocals come in chilling you to the bone. When it speeds up you're off to battle. The swells in this song damn near bring a tear to my eye.

Tears of the Spirits is an appropriately wistful and sorrowful track the melody here sending an ache through my heart

spoopymvlder The perfect blend of dsbm and dungeon synth. Gloomy atmospheres, tortured vocals, and droning melodies envelope you in a shroud of misery. Then moments of soaring triumph. 10/10 one of my favorite releases of the year. Favorite track: Ravens of Northwood.

Le Chevaler Mal Fet Sorrowmoon puts the "DS" in DSBM on this wonderfully melancholic record that somehow seems to tread equally common ground with Coldworld as well as Summoning, despite being orchestrated primarily by synthesizers. Startlingly emotive melodies performed with the dreamy timbral qualities of old-school dungeon synth crossed with atmospheres of classic suicidal black metal, punctuated by passionate blackened vocals. Quite a revelation!
